Balzan have bolstered their defensive department with an international acquisition in 25-year-old Momcilo Raso.
Raso, who hails from Montenegro, will join the Premier League side after a six-month spell at FK Rabotnicki of Macedonia.
In the Macedonian top-flight, Raso played 52 matches in two different spells including 11 in the 2021/2022 season.
Raso, who can play both as a central defender or a fullback, has also played in Cyprus – 30 top-flight games with AEL Limassol, Latvia – 13 top-flight games with FK Jelgava and made also 9 appearances with Radnicki in Serbia.
At international level, Raso made 12 appearances for the U-21’s selection of Montenegro including five in the 2018 European Championship qualifications.
Balzan will launch their Premier League campaign under the guidance of coach Oliver Spiteri against Żebbuġ Rangers on August 19.
