Gżira United have added an experienced piece to their squad after announcing the arrival of David Cassar, on Thursday.
Cassar, 34, is a veteran goalkeeper in the Maltese Premier League having played with a number of clubs including Sliema Wanderers last season.
With the Blues, he played 12 times during the 2021/2022 season. Previously, he was at Tarxien Rainbows, Pieta Hotspurs, Birkirkara and Sirens in the Maltese top-flight.
Cassar boasts over 150 appearances in the Premier League and has also played in the Division One with Ħamrun Spartans.
Meanwhile, newly-promoted side Pietá Hotspurs have signed midfielder Yasukaze Ito, who has already played in Malta.
In fact, the 23-year-old has already been on the books Gudja United and Qrendi, with whom he made 10 appearances in last year’s second-tier.
