Team Noel kickboxers Jesred Piscopo and Justin Pace have just returned back in Malta after spectacular performances at the Evolution Fight held in Rosolini, Sicily, where Pace defeated his opponent Osama Latif.
Pace’s bout consisted of three rounds of three minutes each in the 60kg category and this was considered to be the main event of the night.
Pace started the fight on a very good note with several techniques which include a good mixture of punches, kicks and knee strikes.
He was consistent throughout the whole fight and managed to knock his opponent off his feet during the last round. Latif managed to continue the fight, however, the jury unanimously awarded Pace the well-deserved win.
Pace has been training with Team Noel for these past six years and had the opportunity of competing both locally and overseas countless times. He has had a very successful career up till now and aims to achieve even better results and titles in the years to come.
Pace was accompanied by his team-mate Jesred Piscopo.
Piscopo battled it out against the experienced fighter Nicolas Novati. This bout also consisted of three rounds of three minutes each this time in the 68kg category.
Both Piscopo and Novati exchanged a series of punches and kicks with the latter being the winner by split decision.
This was not the first time that Piscopo represented Malta in such high level competitions where he was crowned champion multiple times whilst proudly holding the Maltese flag.
Push boundaries
Piscopo is a well-recognized fighter both in the Malta Kickboxing Association (MKBA) and the World Kickboxing Network (WKN) after winning several titles in his career.
In a statement, both athletes expressed that such high level events are very important for their fighting career as they truly push their boundaries to achieve positive results.
They have both returned to the gym to continue their ongoing training routines in preparation for other fights in the near future.
Coach and founder of Team Noel Kickboxing Club, Master Noel Mercieca said that he is proud of both his fighters as these types of competitions require intense training and hard work both mentally and physically.
