The Malta U-21’s selection held Slovakia U-20’s team to a 1-1 draw in their second and final matchup against each other, at the Ta’ Qali Training Grounds.
Slovakia forged ahead early in the first through Balint Csoka with Malta managing to peg them back through a Mattia Veselji’s penalty midway into the second half.
The Slovak side is one of the five UEFA members that will participate in May’s U-20’s World Cup, set to be held in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Malta continue their preparations for September’s European qualifications under Italian coach Francesco Macri.
