Borussia Dortmund forward Jamie Bynoe-Gittens will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, coach Edin Terzic confirmed on Thursday.
The Englishman, 18, injured his left shoulder in training and will not be available for the club until the summer.
Dortmund, one point behind Bayern Munich in second place in the league, have three matches remaining this season.
“He won’t be available for us in the next weeks and months,” Terzic said on Thursday.
“We’re going to look forward and give him the necessary time as a group so that he can come back not just fast but stronger than he was.”
The teenager had previously struggled with the injury and had only received limited minutes in recent weeks.
Bynoe-Gittens previously underwent surgery for issues with his right shoulder in September and fully recovered.
A Manchester City youth product, Bynoe-Gittens has scored three goals for Dortmund in 15 league games this season.
